On Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the University of Blida 1, a regional media and educational seminar on international twinning agreements took place. The event was attended by the president of the regional conference of central universities (CRUC) and the director of the University of Blida 1, along with the director of the Higher School of Irrigation in Blida and members of the National Committee for Monitoring International Twinning Agreements. The seminar was also attended by representatives of universities responsible for external relations, both in person and remotely.
This informational and awareness day was facilitated by the National Committee for Monitoring Twinning Agreements, established by Ministerial Decision No. 1393 dated October 18, 2023. Representing the central region were Professor Taïri Abdelaziz from the University of Mohamed Bougara in Boumerdès, Professor Soumia Dendouga from the University of Algiers Benyoucef Benkhedda, and Professor Belhocine Mounia from the University of Abderrahmane Mira.
The committee members presented insights and a roadmap for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding twinning agreements. The seminar also discussed ways to assess and improve the impacts of twinning agreements, along with showcasing some success stories of international cooperation agreements for national universities.
