Today, Sunday, April 16, 2023, Dr. Mokhtar Mezrag, the Rector of the University of Algiers 3, presided over the festivities commemorating Science Day, which coincides with the launch of the National University Week of Artificial Intelligence from April 16-19, 2023. In his speech, he emphasized the importance for the university to keep up with technological developments and to draw inspiration from the iconic pioneer of the Algerian Renaissance, Imam Cheikh Abdelhamid Ben Badis. Following this, Professor Noufeyle Hadid, the President of the Digital Strategy Office, delivered a scientific talk on artificial intelligence.
The event also featured videos about the life of Imam Cheikh Abdelhamid Ben Badis and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategy on artificial intelligence. The ceremony concluded with a tribute to the teachers promoted to the rank of professor during Sessions 47 and 48 of the National University Committee.
