Professor Mark Entin from the State Institute of International Relations in Moscow lectured at the University of Algiers 3 on December 20, 2023. The conference took place in the main auditorium of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management, focusing on Russo-Algerian relations and paths of integration. The conference was animated in the presence of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Algeria, Mr. Valerian Chuvaev, as well as officials from the university’s rectorate, professors, researchers, doctoral students, and honored guests.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, and Management, Dr. Samir Azzedine, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the university director, Professor Khaled Rouaski, expressing gratitude for Professor Mark Entin’s visit, which reflects the importance of the relations between the two countries. Professor Entin then began his lecture by addressing global transformations and the crises many countries are facing. He then delved into Russo-Algerian relations in their various dimensions, including the historical support of the Soviet Union to the Algerian revolution and significant developments in economic areas such as energy and food projects.
Professor Entin emphasized the importance of addressing global challenges through political stability, the development of strategic plans, and establishing good relations with other countries. He then discussed Russia’s international standing and its role in building international alliances. The lecture, which lasted nearly two hours, was followed by a series of questions from professors, students, and researchers and was characterized by the effective moderation of Dr. Chafir Ahmin.
