Upon invitation from the Director of the University of Algiers 3, Professor Khaled Rouaski, and under his supervision, Mr. Harik Hakim, Chairman of the National Committee for the Promotion of Visibility and Ranking of Higher Education Institutions, carried out several activities yesterday, Monday, October 30, 2023, aimed at strengthening the visibility of scientific production and improving the ranking of the University of Algiers 3 at the national and international levels.
In his opening speech, the university director affirmed that the university is making every effort and leveraging all available resources to implement mechanisms and steps to ensure the visibility of the scientific production of university professors, as well as working to promote its journals to meet international standards.
Professor Rouaski invited the entire university community, teachers and students, to keep abreast of developments in scientific publishing at the international level in order to raise the University of Algiers 3 in international rankings.
Mr. Harik then began his activities with a comprehensive and detailed presentation in which he provided in-depth explanations and important details about the visibility of scientific production as well as the steps and mechanisms to be followed to achieve it.
Mr. Harik emphasized the importance of publishing in journals that meet international standards and are referenced in global databases, which improves the university’s ranking, especially English-language publications, which are a very important step.
Mr. Harik then held a long meeting with the journals editors-in-chief of the university, where he provided key steps and modalities for increasing the visibility of journals and the conditions to be met in this area. Mr. Harik concluded his activities with a meeting with the local committee for promoting the visibility and ranking of the university, where he presented practical and concrete proposals to strengthen the role of this committee in fulfilling its missions and achieving the visibility of the scientific production of the University of Algiers 3, as well as improving its national and international ranking.
